- Coordinate and manage, with the support of Project Directors, a multi-stakeholder collaboration aimed at achieving a sustainable production and sourcing of palm-based materials;
- Participate in the organization and facilitation of working groups with clients, partners and stakeholders;
- Contribute to the production of strategic reports and other deliverables.
- Conduct desk research, benchmarks and mappings of stakeholders positioning, expectations and achievements, as well as sustainable sourcing solutions, to facilitate the elaboration of strategic recommendations;
- In collaboration with the Sustainable Sourcing team, develop and operate processes, methodologies and technical tools to achieve transparency in complex supply chains, measure risks at geographical level, and evaluate the performance of market players;
- Manage datasets and databases to support the achievement of supply chain traceability;
- Monitor non-compliance alerts in the supply chain and participate in the design of action plans for their resolution.
- Help design innovative solutions to implement responsible sourcing strategies at organizational, economic, environmental and social levels (landscape approach, innovative business models, supplier engagement, etc.);
- Organize and manage consultations with stakeholders (NGOs, civil society organizations, private sector, supply chain players, communities, governmental institutions, research institutes, etc.) to collect information and promote consensus on responsible sourcing approaches;
- Participate in technical working groups and coalitions at international level to increase knowledge and share expertise on specific issues and raw materials
- Help manage daily contacts and develop relationships with existing clients;
- Ensure the implementation, consistency and follow-up of planned workstreams to guarantee the expected outcomes are delivered upon deadline and in line with clients’ expectations;
- Contribute to the building of proposals to engage new clients and sectors in supporting the improvement of their sourcing practices.
- Masters’ degree in business, engineering, political science or related field, ideally specialized in supply chain management, procurement or sustainability.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in the business, consulting and/or NGO sectors working in complex supply chains, and/or designing tools and solutions to implement sustainable sourcing strategies (supply chain management, logistics, purchasing, etc.);
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental and social responsibility issues related to the supply of products or raw materials derived from natural resources;
- Ability to work daily with IT and digital tools, especially Excel;
- Excellent writing skills, team-worker and critical thinker with the ability to take initiative.
- Experience or knowledge of the oleochemical, cosmetics, or home & personal care industries;
- Prior experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues on complex industry topics;
- Experience in business development appreciated;
- Knowledge of the following sectors: palm oil, soy, coconut, minerals and/or botanical extracts.
- Excellent command written and spoken of both French and English (bilingual), with the ability to draft concept notes and reports in both languages;
- Additional language among the following would be a plus: Chinese, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish.
- Location: Paris 11 (Bastille area), France with frequent travel abroad;
- To begin in October 2020;
- Salary commensurate with experience
